Heather Ruble

Project Engineer

START DATE - JANUARY 2007

WHO ARE YOU?

When I'm not working, I'm working on our farm where I breed and raise reining horses.  My husband, Zach, also enjoys the equestrian life, which leads to a friendly competition at horse shows. Often, we end up in the same class, competing against each other.  In my down time, I enjoy snuggling with my Rough Coated Collie, Linus, and creative writing.  I became a published author when I wrote a 30-day devotional, titled Unbridled Faith.

WHAT DO YOU DO?

I have worn many hats at ESC, but currently, I work offsite in a manufacturing facility where I manage capital projects from creation to construction.  My past role as a project engineer has given me the experience to see the need of a problem and find the solution to better serve my current customer.  My day is mostly spent listening to people... way too many people... contractors, plant personnel, vendors, and a daily phone call from my husband.  Overall, I love my role as a project manager and enjoy feeling like I play a part in creating something new.

FAVORITE ESC MOMENT?

Many moons ago, I was a field "agent".  I did field work (ie. surveying, electrical documentation, etc) with my partner in crime, Lori.  Work is always better when done with friends and I have made a lifelong friend with my co-worker Lori.  I also love the fact that my co-workers Jason and Joel challenged me to a donut eating contest.  Although I failed, I gave it a valiant effort.  The first 9 went down super easy.
